In this article some re!ections concerning the mutual relationship between the training processes of both school and university teachers are presented stressing the importance of the notion of teacher development. Certain degree of continuity is considered between the characteristics of the teaching practice inthese two educational levels, especially between the last years of high school and the first years of university.
