Proposals for Initial Teacher Training of Secondary Education in Spain

The starting point of this paper is a historical reference to the regulatory framework occurred in Spain in relation to the initial training of secondary school teachers from to Certificadode Aptitud Pedagógica (CAP) in the years 1970 to the recent Master de Formación del Profesorado. Following identify valuable experiences about initial teacher training, for access to the teaching profession, which meant an advance in the construction of the professional culture of the future secondary school teacher. Finally, we suggest lines of action to guide the initial training of a secondary school teacher focusing on dominance of matter, creating educational knowledge, capacity of didactic intervention, mastering comunicative processes and institution collaborative processes, integration between theory and practice of teaching, strengthening of the practices and induction processes and finallyinduction in practice for new teachers.Downloads
