A look into inclusion: barriers on the way to participation.

This paper is part of a larger study about the development of an investigation project which aimed to make a map of good inclusive practices in the province of Ourense (Spain). The essay is an approach to the reality of the centres to be studied in order to find the signs that help to define their inclusive practices, as well as to detect the barriers which are felt by the teachers involved into a more inclusive education. The used methodology has been of a quantitative type and the questionnaire has been used as the technique to gather information.The results of the study point out one piece of information, the teachers give interesting ideas related to public administration, society, family, professional and classroom contexts to refer to how school may progress on its way towards participation, towards inclusion.Downloads
