Technological appropriation: a view from the models and theories that explain it

When it comes to explaining the epistemological basis of the term technological appropriation it is necessary to conduct the search towards the models that have been built around the theme based on the theories of other areas of knowledge that have been adapted to meet the needs of researchers. In this literature review two psychological traditions that help to understand the concept of technological appropriation from different perspectives are addressed: the psychosocial and sociocultural current, explains the origin, how it has been linked the term with other synonyms, and the reasons why it is considered a sociocultural tool. When delving into psychosocial current, the variables studied in each of the ten models and theories that are discussed in this tradition as they serve to show the factors involved in technological appropriation of the individuals mentioned.Downloads
